NODES is pleased that Mölndal Energi Nät, the local Distribution System Operator (DSO) around Mölndal, just south of Gothenburg, Sweden, has joined Effekthandel Väst, the local flexibility market in the Gothenburg area.

The Effekthandel Väst market was launched in 2021 through a cooperation between  Göteborg Energi Nät, the local DSO in Gothenburg, and NODES. During the winter of 2021-2022, Göteborg Energi Nät bought flexibility on NODES near term (ShortFlex) market.

Having Mölndal Energi Nät as another buyer in the market means that Flexibility Service Providers (FSPs) with assets located both in Göteborg Energi Nät’s and Mölndal Energi Nät’s grid areas can sell flexibility to respective DSO.
