Fluvius has selected NODES to operate a local flexibility market in Flanders, Belgium. Over the coming two and a half years, Fluvius will trial short term and long term flexibility products for both active and reactive power using NODESTM activation market (ShortFlexTM) and markets for reservation products (LongFlexTM and MaxUsage).
Fluvius operates the low and medium voltage electricity grid in Flanders. Fluvius will act as buyer in the local flexibility market, purchasing flexibility from flexibility service providers with assets in the region.
NODES will provide its market platform and will support Fluvius and participating Flexibility Service Providers with market- and technical expertise.
