Hydro One

As Ontario accelerates grid modernization, Hydro One, Ontario’s largest electricity transmission and distribution service provider, will continue its flexibility initiative that supports the implementation of Non-Wires Solutions (NWS). The program examines the flexibility potential from Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers and Aggregators to help build a smarter, more resilient grid.

Building on its 2025 Flexibility Initiative, Hydro One will continue its Flexibility Initiative in 2026 to procure long term flexibility (LongFlex) and short-term flexibility (ShortFlex) from registered Flexibility Service Providers.

Hydro One is looking to partner with Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers and  Aggregators with flexible operations that can be used as an NWS to meet system needs.
