GridTools
Automate operational planning and congestion management!
GridTools has been designed for the control room to identify possible congestions and to make decisions ahead of time.

Key Features
Grid Modelling
Grid model management functionality enables modelling of a digital twin that serves as a foundation for the overview and analysis of potential problems in the grid.
Optimization
The optimization algorithm takes the input data and tries to solve predicted congestion or voltage problems in the grid by using available flexible resources. The optimization result can run automatically or manually, as per the choice of the System Operator (SO).
Forecast
GridTools may use either an internally produced forecast, or an externally imported forecast. The internal forecast is generated with sophisticated techniques using mutiple data parameters that gives the System Operator (TSO or DSO) a prediction of potential problems in the grid.
Asset Management
Flexible resources from interruptible tariffs, bilateral agreements or a local flexibility market can automatically or manually be assigned to the part of the grid where they can make an impact for reducing congestions in the grid.
Trading & Dispatch
The coordinated use of flexible resources is done as a dispatch signal to one or multiple resources via the trading signal to a local flexibility market. Using the optimization recommendations grid operators find the optimal combination of available resources over a given time.
Bilateral Agreements
GridTools streamlines the management of bilateral agreements by enabling registration and visualization of both active and potential contracts, offering graphical insights into their impact on the grid, and supporting decision-making with optimization algorithms.
