NODES is pleased that M\u00f6lndal Energi N\u00e4t, the local Distribution System Operator (DSO) around M\u00f6lndal, just south of Gothenburg, Sweden, has joined Effekthandel V\u00e4st, the local flexibility market in the Gothenburg area.<\/p>\n

The Effekthandel V\u00e4st market was launched in 2021 through a cooperation between \u00a0G\u00f6teborg Energi N\u00e4t, the local DSO in Gothenburg, and NODES. During the winter of 2021-2022, G\u00f6teborg Energi N\u00e4t bought flexibility on NODES near term (ShortFlex) market.<\/p>\n

Having M\u00f6lndal Energi N\u00e4t as another buyer in the market means that Flexibility Service Providers (FSPs) with assets located both in G\u00f6teborg Energi N\u00e4t\u2019s and M\u00f6lndal Energi N\u00e4t\u2019s grid areas can sell flexibility to respective DSO.<\/p>\n
