Register your interest to participate in the IntraFlex project.<\/p>\n

Since November, our IntraFlex Innovation project<\/a> has been working to understand and reduce the impact of DNO flexibility services on the wider electricity market by operating closer to real time procurement of flexibility on the NODES marketplace and creating more links to the supply market.<\/p>\n

We have now refined the market design and are keen to understand the market appetite for trialling the services. This will help us understand the viability of the trial as well as potential locations.<\/p>\n

The trial will be split into two phases, with Phase 1 focussing on the closer to real time markets and Phase 2 more focussed on additional services to reduce the impact on the supply market. Phase 1 is expected to run from August to September with Phase 2 planned for Spring 2021.<\/p>\n

Participants should expect a similar value proposition to that available through Flexible Power<\/a>, between \u00a31.5 \u2013 6k per MW over the duration of the project. This is subject to the total volume of participants as well as the actual volumes and prices submitted by each participant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As well as being open to existing Flexible Power<\/a> participants, the trial is open to new flexibility service providers who can provide a reduction in demand or increase in generation. We hope that operating closer to real time will make the service accessible to parties who could not guarantee delivery further ahead of time.<\/p>\n

Registering your interest does not commit you or WPD to proceeding to a full trial, but will rather be used in the assessment to determine trial feasibility and locations.<\/p>\n
