The Board of NODES has selected Enno B\u00f6ttcher as the company\u2019s new Chief Executive Officer. The 49-year-old will assume the role of CEO on 1st February 2019 replacing Rune Hogga, who will become Chairman of the Board of NODES.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAppointing Enno B\u00f6ttcher as CEO further strengthen NODES commitment as a European independent market operator\u201d says Rune Hogga. \u201cWe believe that B\u00f6ttcher, with his excellent skill set and more than 20 years\u2019 experience from the industry will strengthen NODES.\u201d continues Rune Hogga.<\/p>\n

Enno B\u00f6ttcher started his career in 1998 at the Hamburg utility HEW, one of the predecessor companies of Vattenfall. Since then, he has worked in utility & trading units \/ companies, and for TenneT, one of the largest transmission system operators. Enno B\u00f6ttcher has held a number of leadership positions in sales, trading, grid development, products, and markets. As Managing Director, he spearheaded and operated Europe\u2019s first market coupling auction office. He is also one of the architects modelling and delivering successfully Europe-wide single, integrated day-ahead and intraday markets.<\/p>\n

Enno B\u00f6ttcher was born in 1969. He studied business administration and electrical engineering and holds a Master of Science (Dipl.-Ing.) in power system engineering.<\/p>\n
